In addition to novel writing, Barbara has spent over half her life working as an actress, playwright, and screenwriter.


She made her Broadway debut at twenty-one in the premiere of the comedy classic Enter Laughing and from there joined the first touring company of Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf.


An early member of the esteemed Second City, Ms. Dana has acted in dozens of Off-Broadway and regional productions and has made many film and TV appearances.




Her first play, War in Paramus, premiered in New York at HB Playwrights.


Her screenplays include Chu-Chu and the Philly Flash and Necessary Parties. She appears in both films.
